My mom discovered these during her last trip to Italy and brought some home. Great combination of chocolate and coffee. I had to buy a new box as my dog (yes, he is still alive) snatched her purchase off the counter while we were out and ate the whole box, wrappers and all. The best part is the surprise burst of coffee as you bite into the chocolate! Warn others not to try to bite in half. Pocket Coffees are something I "discovered" while assigned to an Air Force Intelligence Unit in southern Italy. They are positively incredible! It's a dark chocolate filled with espresso and a big pick-me-up. We used them on the night shifts, helping to stay awake, but the taste is fantastic. Very unusual. I've been trying to get them for years, and recently treated myself on Amazon, with half paid by gift certificate. Give Pocket Coffees a try...they're unusual and exciting. I sent these to my mom for Mother's Day. She loves cofee beans and said that these were delicious. I ordered them on the Wednesday before Mother's Day and they got to her on time, without paying extra for fast delivery. However, shipping - just regular, basic ground shipping, the cheapest shipping option - was $15! That was more than the cost of the beans. The container holds 20 oz. I don't know what kind of company charges $15 to mail 20 oz, but apparently this one does.

First became acquainted with these in Italy. They sold them at the "Auto Grills" at rest stops along the "Autostrada" (their version of the turnpikes here in the States). When we got back, found out that I could order them through Amazon. I like to order them by the case as they are only available during the Fall and Winter months.



Love the unique blend of expresso coffee and dark chocolate. The chocolate surounds a liquid center of expresso, which when you bite into it blends with the chocolate to make a wonderful mocha taste. Have found nothing here in the states which comes even close to this. would give it 10 stars if I could. A great product, and a great value in this packaging. (If you want to give these as gifts, the case containing the "5-piece" packages is a great alternative. We did that for the holidays last year.)
